- i was going to update late last night but desertwitch and i started gabbing and well, you know, time got away.
hope you had some hella dreams, girl!
watched "the bachelor" last night and can't decide if andrew is a moron or what. some of the chicks he picked....well....i wonder. unless he just wants the puker around for entertainment. maybe that's it. but i like that little brunette. i think her name is kim. not sure. but she was wearing that hot pink top and was the last one to get a rose. i just LIKE her.
mostly i read my book. it's good. "three fates" by nora roberts. she is in town today for a book signing but it's over on the other side of town at 6:30 and there is NO WAY i could get over there. so i will be missing her this time around. anyway, great book!
but what i really wanted to talk about was "nature" last night. yep. me and PBS are way too close. it was on elephants. and it made me cry. (do i seem way too weepy these days or is it just me?) the last segment was about this preserve in tennesse where old or hurt elephants go. there had been only 3 but then this guy in louisiana decided to take his old elephant there because his circus was closing or something. anyway, he took shirley (i think that was her name) there and she would never have to wear a chain on her leg again. it was really touching (and i am going to cry just thinking about it!) but the REALLY weepy part was when one of the elephants that already lived on the preserve saw shirley, they KNEW each other! they had been in a circus 25 years ago when jenny had been a little baby off the boat from asia and shirley had (they assume) taken care of her. anyway, then they spent the last 10 minutes following the two around and showing them all touchy and squirting water on each other. if you get a chance, watch it.
i have this red blotch thing by my eyebrow today. it wasn't there when i was getting ready for work. i don't think. and it's not a zit and it doesn't hurt. it is just a blotch. what is up with that?
repeat after me "patty, write your letter to the IRS today!" i MUST do this. i think that is why i am so scattered here this past week. what with the 15th coming up and having to write this letter and all. i don't think i should have to pay taxes. just my opinion.
