long day!
but not so bad. god took pity on north texas and decided to cloud us up and ran for like 4 hours! when we got out of the music hall at 4pm it was only 80!
anyway, picked up the nephew at 12:30 as scheduled and didn't have to have a talk with him. his step mom and my bro already told him to behave. and he did. in the car there he talked my ear off. told me about some creepy movie he and fis friend watched yesterday. "jeepers creepers" - hear of it? i mean i know the song but didn't know they made a lame horror movie out of it. some dragon weirdo man eating parts of people. they had to watch it cause part two is coming out soon. oh, boy!
"starlight express"? totally gay. i liked it more than "the lion king" probably because there were more cute guys in it. of course i don't know who played who cause according to the freaking playbill, they all change up parts! shit! and cod pieces? yeah, lots of them! but i did hate whoever played "pearl" - fucking mindless ho! the kind of girl i hate. too cute for her own good, everybody wants her and she goes from one guy to another breaking hearts as she goes.
we drove to downtown grapevine and strolled thru a few shops (my bro and his wife and little babe were going to still be an hour) i love looking at old stuff. i picked up some books for the baby (when he is older) they were only $1 each. "skip the dog", "henry and the clubhouse (beverly cleary!)and clarence goes to town (another dog book)fun stuff to read to a 3 yr old.
then we had dinner at a place called "bobo china" - this is a family tradition. my bro worked there when he was in high school and we always get the royal treatment. we had 6 different kinds of chicken on the lazy susan! and the egg rolls were the bomb. totally enjoyed myself.
drove home threw the lovely evening and decided to do laundry and wash my new bedding so i could get it on the bed and lay around on it all day tomorrow. it's on there now and, i must say, it's beautiful!
oh, and got my dvd's in the mail do tomorrow will be "la femme nikita" sunday at my house.
